Coming up for air

Hey everyone! I know, no new blog posts in a while. I am drowning in photo shoots! Not a bad thing at all, but with a 1 year old in the house it makes updating the old blog a little difficult.

So I always tell clients to bring something other than lingerie. Guys love it when you are in just an old T-Shirt. In fact, many would prefer it. (I know I do)

Here is a recent example……

Pop Your Butt

Pop your butt. Lift your caboose. Raise your rear. Bump your bottom.

You may hear me say any (or all) of these phrases during your session with me. Most clients instinctively know what I mean, but not all!

So here is a quick visual for you to help understand what that means…

Pop your butt
Pop Your Butt

Notice how her stomach is still on the bed. The booty is popped when the hips and lower back work together to lift only the hiney. If anything other than your booty is moving, you aren’t there yet. Keep practicing.

Fall is in the air!

Holy cow I walk out this morning and it feels like October. You know what that means? Boudoir season is about to begin. We always see a surge in business once summer is over and the kids are back in school. Many clients use the opportunity to take some time finally after a long summer and treat themselves. Others see it as an opportunity for a birthday, wedding, or anniversary gift.  Some client even prepare well ahead of time for a Christmas present.

In any event, if you are considering doing a session soon, you are definitely not alone! :)

A few different looks you may like

So here is a good example of a few different looks you can knock out in a single session. I always stress a nice variety of clothing to keep the shoot interesting. Wearing 4 different bra and panty sets doesn’t always provide for a complete session. Tshirts, bathing suits, lingerie, jeans, they all can be part of a great photoshoot! :)

These all were taken with the same two hour photoshoot.

A note from a Bride…

Hey!
I know this is so late getting to you, but wanted to show you my hubby looking
at the boudoir photo album I made him of all the beautiful pics you took!
This is just one of the pictures, but I think it captures the moment perfectly!
I was so happy our photographers caught this moment on camera...and I couldn't
be happier about the whole experience and doing this for him!

Attention Brides: Book Now!

Ah yes, it is wedding season once again!

What better gift to your groom than pictures of yourself looking like a magazine cover? It is a great way to help make sure your honeymoon a memorable one!  More than just a gift for your groom, it is a great gift for yourself! Many brides tell me it is the most fun photo shoot they have had in the whole bridal experience. We have shot literally hundreds of bridal boudoir sessions.

I love shooting photos for grooms, having been one myself nearly 15 years ago. But here is a secret, you will love the images just as much if not more.

Our large studio is dedicated to full time Boudoir Photography. Most others require the photography to be done in a hotel room which is limited in its appeal (unless you love hotel room curtains). Our studio can look like literally dozens of different locations. We can match up your attire with which set would look best and off we go!

So.. you are ready to book. But when? Turn around time for the photos to be done is about a week. You should really give yourself a few weeks to work on how you will present the photos to your groom. So I would say booking about a month out from your wedding day is the latest you should wait.

I nice review from a past client…. :)

During my diligent research, I kept gravitating back towards Charlotte Boudoir. I loved all the information & reviews it had, it answered all my frequently asked questions, gave a great bio about the photographer (Jeremy Igo) and not to mention all his images were stunning. The final stamp of approval was speaking to Jeremy on the phone; he really put all my fears at ease and got me excited for the shoot. He suggested bringing a girlfriend for moral support and also a bottle of wine!

I showed up to Jeremy’s studio with my best friend, my boudoir wardrobe and a bottle of pinot grigio. I was fortunate to have the talents of Kymm McLean from Who’s The Fairest doing my hair and make-up while sipping on said pinot grigio. Once I was all glammed up and looked into the mirror, I felt calm yet eager for what was about to happen. From here, the entire experience was truly amazing and leaves me with little words. I went into the shoot wanting to do something special for my man but left feeling truly special about myself. Jeremy created the perfect environment during the entire shoot; he gave me great direction, put all my nerves to rest and really made me feel like a model for the day. My hubby and I cannot thank him enough!
